abstract

the present study evaluated effects of 0.0%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0% l-threonine in diet on performance and gastrointestinal tract development in broiler chickens during summer. from 0 to 42 days old, body weight gain was greater in 0.75% l-threonine fed birds than in 0.0% and 0.5% l-threonine fed birds (p0.05). during the growth period, 0.75% l-threonine fed birds had the highest body weight gain (p0.05). in conclusion, supplementation of 0.75% l-threonine improved the intestinal morphology and body weight gain of broilers under hot conditions. as well as, the higher levels of l-threonine (1.0) percent in diet can will increased the villus height in the jejunum and ileum.

Effects of Dietary Mannan-Oligosaccharides and Phytase Supplementation Alone or in Combination on Growth Performance, Serum Metabolites, Cecal Microbiota Activity and Intestinal Morphology in Broiler Chickens

This study evaluated the effect of a combination of mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and microbial phytase (MP) on growth performance, some blood biochemical metabolites, intestinal morphology and cecal microbial population of ROSS 308 broiler chickens from d 0 to 35 of age. A total of 200 one-dayold broiler chickens (mixed sex) were randomly distributed into four treatments with five replicates a...

Threonine requirement of broiler chickens during subclinical intestinal Clostridium infection.

The aim of this study was to determine the threonine requirement of broilers during a subclinical Clostridium infection. Three experiments were performed: experiments 1 and 2 to investigate the dose-response of threonine supplementation during infection and experiment 3 to validate the threonine requirement during infection. In each experiment, 1-d-old Ross 308 male broilers were used. An infec...

Effect of Dietary Supplementation of Aspergillus Xylanase on Broiler Chickens Performance

The effect of Aspergillus xylanase (ASXYL) supplementation to maize-soybean diets on serum aspartate aminotransferase, serum alanine aminotransferase, microbial examination, growth traits, carcass characteristics and meat quality traits of broiler chickens was investigated. Three hundred one-day-old mixed sex “Cobb 500” broiler chicks were allotted to 5 dietary treatments with 5 replic...

Effect of Threonine Supplementation on Growth Performance, Metabolizable Energy, Morphological Changes and Immune Response in Broiler Chickens Challenged with Coccidia

This study was performed to investigate the effects of dietary threonine (Thr). level on performance, metabolizable energy, intestinal morphology, and immune system in coccidian–infected broiler chickens. The diets contained: 88%, 100% (Non challenged (NC) and challenged control (PC)), 112%, 124%, and 136% of Thr requirement according to Cobb 500 recommendation and fed during grower (pre challe...
